Mine Explosion In Azerbaijan's Jabrayil Leaves Civilian Injured


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 7. A mine incident occurred in Mehdili village of Azerbaijan's liberated Jabrayil district today, injuring a civilian, the statement of Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) says, Trend reports.

Rashad Mammadov, born in 1985, an employee of a private company engaged in humanitarian mine clearance operations, was carrying out his official duties when an anti-personnel mine detonated. The explosion resulted in minor injuries to his leg.

The injured individual was promptly evacuated to the regional central hospital, where his condition was assessed as stable and not life-threatening.
