UAE, Turkey Leaders Address Gaza Crisis in Phone Call

(MENAFN) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), held telephone talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday focused on critical regional developments, particularly the ongoing Gaza crisis, according to a state news agency.

During the call, both leaders discussed the deepening humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, stressing the importance of maintaining the current ceasefire, guaranteeing continuous flow of sufficient humanitarian assistance, and alleviating civilian hardship.

The presidents underscored the urgency of advancing toward a sustainable peace settlement founded on the two-state framework, describing it as the sole credible route to achieving enduring regional security, stability, and improved prospects for affected populations.

The conversation also covered diplomatic ties between their nations, potential avenues for strengthening collaboration in strategic areas, and additional topics of shared interest, the news agency stated.
