Terror Strikes Again: Bannu Loses Four Police Officers

Bannu: In the limits of Sarai Naurang police station, terrorists opened fire during duty and martyred three traffic police personnel. After the incident, police and security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation; however, the attackers managed to escape.

Later, another terrorist incident occurred within the limits of Mandan police station in Bannu, where unidentified motorcycle-riding terrorists targeted police official Rashid Khan. According to police sources, Rashid Khan was martyred on the spot.

Police said that Shaheed Rashid Khan was performing duty as a cook at the police lines and was on his way home after completing his duty when unidentified motorcycle riders opened fire on him in the Kafshi Khel Mandan area.

Immediately after the incident, the body of the martyred police official was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Bannu, where necessary legal formalities are being completed.

Police stated that four police personnel have been martyred in the Bannu region during the last four hours. Police officials said these incidents are being taken very seriously, raid operations have been intensified to arrest the terrorists, and further investigations are underway.
