(MENAFN- GetNews) In early October, the social inventory of five major types of steel in over 20 cities was 9.46 million tons, an increase of 440,000 tons year-on-year, or 4.9%. The inventory turned from a decline to an increase. It increased by 2.87 million tons compared with the beginning of this year, rising by 43.6%. It increased by 1.83 million tons compared with the same period of the previous year, rising by 24.0%.

In the first ten days of October, by region, the social inventory of steel in the seven major regions rose except for a slight decrease in the Northeast region compared with the previous month. Among them, the southwest region saw the largest increase.
