Moscow Film Cluster's MENA Debut: Making Waves at the Red Sea Souk
(MENAFN- Encore Enpower Services) Jeddah, Saudi Arab a, 12 December 2025 – Moscow Film Cluster, one of the largest creative filmmaking ecosystems in Eastern Europe, successfully participated in the 5th Edition of the Red Sea Souk 2025 in Jeddah, which took place fr m 6-10th December this year. For the first time in the MENA r gion, the Cluster will introduce its full-scale production infrastructure to internationa– partners – presenting locations, services, technical capacities, creative talent, and internationally-oriented incentive measures designed for global filmmakers.
Held in Jeddah's historic Al Ba ad district, Red Sea Souk is the industry market of the Red Sea International Film Festival. It brings together producers, sales agents and other professionals from the MENA region, Asia, Africa and Europe, and showcases new projects in development and production.
Commenting on the event, Moskino Film Cluster CEO Georgy Prokopov also featu es Film C ty, which covers more than 350 hectares of backlots and controlled spaces that aspire to become the premier filming destination both in Russia and the world by 2030. The elaborate facility will accommodate seven Hollywood sized studios, with the construction of indoor studios, outdoor spaces, and storage facilities currently in progress.
Film City exhibits ’urope’s largest full-scale outdoor chromakey, measuring an astonishing 16,000 square meters and six meters in height. It also functions as a community park for residents and tourists alike and includes a cultural center, cinemas, and venues to host festivals and ceremonies. In addition, the facility will act as a commercial hub, providing access to hotels, restaurants, and retail shops, all of which are extended by flexible transportation options and the new Moskino metro station to facilitate better connectivity.
Film Factory serves as a high-tech film production center in Russia, featuring th’ country’s pavilion with the largest arc-shaped stationary configuration of LED screens in Russia.
