Singapore Gulf Bank Unveils Stablecoin Mint & Redeem Service with Zero-Fee Launch Programme when Minting on Solana


(MENAFN- Wachsman) ABU DHABI, 11 December 2025 – Today at Solana Breakpoint 2025, Singapore Gulf Bank (SGB), the digital bank backed by Whampoa Group and Mumtalakat, today announced a d demonstrated a new product enabling clients to mint and redeem stablecoins, including USDC and USDT, directly on the Solana blockchain.
Building on over USD 7 billion in transactions that the SGB has processed since their launch in March of this year, the deployment of stablecoin minting rails on Solana will further facilitate and accelerate financial flows for their clients across the GCC-Asia financial corridor.
To drive adoption of stablecoin minting, SGB announced a comprehensive launch programme that includes the removal of transaction and gas fees for clients minting and redeeming on Solana.
This service will initially launch for SGB’s corporate clients to facilitate their transaction and treasury management needs, before expanding to personal banking customers.
Earlier this year, SGB also launched its proprietary real-time, multi-currency clearing network, SGB Net and in November unveiled a partnership with digital asset infrastructure provider Fireblocks to support secure treasury management and digital asset custody.
