Kuwait Hosts 175Th Meeting Of Arab Energy Organization

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Dec 12 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait hosted on Friday hosted the 175th meeting of the executive office of the Arab Energy Organization (AEO), held as a prelude to the 115th ministerial meeting due on Sunday.
The organization, (formerly OAPEC), said in a statement the meeting was chaired by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Oil Undersecretary Sheikh Dr. Nimr Fahad Al-Sabah, the State of Kuwait representative at the bureau.
Kuwait is currently chair of the office meetings.
The statement said that the conferees discussed the 2026 projected budget and the AEO restructuring plan, in addition to a host of other bureaucratic topics.
They lauded the State of Kuwait Government for tackling difficulties facing the efforts to attain the set goals.
Sheikh Dr. Nimr meanwhile stressed on the necessity to boost coordination among the member states and bolster the organization's role in the shadow rapid changes in the regional and international energy sectors. (end)
