It's been a long time coming, but Taylor Swift's long-awaited Eras Tour documentary is finally here.

The six-part series, Taylor Swift|The Eras Tour|The End of an Era offers an in-depth look, chronicling the pop star's record-breaking tour that ended one year ago. The first two episodes will premiere on Friday (December 12) with two new episodes released each week until the finale on December 26.

Alongside the docuseries, Taylor Swift is also releasing a new concert film, Taylor Swift|The Eras Tour|The Final Show, debuting on December 12. Unlike the 2023 theatrical version, this film features the full Tortured Poets Department section performed during the final stop of the tour.

Both The End of an Era and The Final Show will stream on Hulu and Disney+. While Hulu is not available in the UAE, residents can still stream the docuseries and film via Disney+.

For many UAE Swifties who couldn't attend the Eras Tour, this marks their first chance to experience the show in full - especially after last year's cancelled Vienna concerts. The Vienna stop was abruptly called off after officials confirmed a“planned terrorist attack”, leaving fans around the world, including some Dubai residents stranded after spending more than Dh10,000 to attend.

The End of an Era takes fans behind the scenes of Taylor Swift's most ambitious tour to date - showing everything from rehearsals and costume changes to life on the road and the intense production demands of a tour that spanned from March 2023 to December 2024. The Final Show captures her last performance at BC Place in Vancouver on December 8, 2024, including the complete Tortured Poets Department set.

How the Eras Tour documentary was announced

Taylor Swift first revealed the docuseries and concert film during an October appearance on Good Morning America, later expanding on the news in an Instagram post.

“We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives,” she wrote.“So we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down. And to film the final show in its entirety.”

Taylor announced both projects on October 13 - a date that, fittingly, aligns with her long-standing connection to the number 13. It's more than just her favourite number; it's her lucky charm. Her debut album went gold in 13 weeks, Fearless and 1989 both include 13 tracks, and her birthday falls on December 13. Fans immediately picked up on the significance, leading many to speculate that releasing the docuseries a day before her birthday could mean she has something planned for December 13.

Will Travis Kelce make an appearance?

Yes. Swift's fiancé, NFL star Travis Kelce, is featured in the docuseries. In the official trailer, her mother Andrea can be heard saying,“Travis Kelce - he brings a lot of happiness,” alongside brief clips of the couple supporting each other. The series also includes appearances from collaborators and fellow performers such as Ed Sheeran, Sabrina Carpenter and Florence Welch.
