Tiding Storms Home To Land Al Shaqab Cup At Al Rayyan
Doha, Qatar: Tiding produced a dazzling late surge to claim the Al Shaqab Cup, a Thoroughbred Handicap (70–90) over 2200m, at Al Rayyan Racecourse yesterday.
The 4-year-old chestnut colt, representing Sheikh Abdul Rahman Rashid Al-Thani, trained by Gassim Al Ghazali and ridden by Alberto Sanna, came from last to win by 31⁄2 lengths in a field of 14.
Held up at the rear for most of the race, Tiding waited patiently as Sussex set the early pace, chased by Warming and Blazing Sunset.

Entering the home straight, he unleashed a devastating turn of foot, sweeping past the field with ease.
