Shooter of shopping center gets taken into custody
(MENAFN) A shooting incident occurred Monday at Stor Storsenter, Oslo’s largest shopping center, after a man entered the building with a handgun, a Norwegian reported.
“One shot was fired. We have the perpetrator in custody,” said Tor Grottum of Oslo police, noting that emergency services remained on-site as a precaution.
Authorities evacuated the entire shopping center, and no injuries have been reported so far.
Grottum said police currently believe the attacker acted alone.
“We do not suspect multiple perpetrators, but we are searching broadly. For now, we are talking about one suspect,” he added.
