Netflix Unveils the Official Trailer for The Fakenapping, a Spiraling Saudi Comedy About One Very Bad Plan

(MENAFN- ruderfinn atteline) Chaos is the order of business in Netflix’s upcoming Saudi comedy, The Fakenapping - a wild and sharp film about bad luck, worse decisions, and the spiraling mess that follows one desperate plan. From the start, the film wastes no time diving into a world where every decision seems to go wrong in the most absurd ways - all led by a man who is certain that his plan will fix everything even as it goes out of control.
At the center of the chaos is Sattam (Mohamad Aldokhei) - a father, a failed entrepreneur, and the last person who should be plotting anything. Desperate to turn his luck around, he decides on the most illogical idea possible: staging the kidnapping of his own father. And from the moment he ropes in his equally clueless friends, crosses paths with a ruthless loan shark, and lets his pride lead the way, the plan collapses in a comical way. What should have been a straightforward ransom turns into a fast-moving chain reaction of bad choices, overconfidence, and hilariously terrible timing.
Adding fuel to the fire are Yazeed Almajyul (Yaqoub), Khaled Howaijan (Abadi), and Abdullah Aldrees (Hamdan) - the trio of well-intentioned but hopelessly amateur kidnappers who rally behind Sattam’s plan. Their misguided enthusiasm, questionable logic, and escalating mistakes turn one bad idea into a full-blown disaster, dragging Sattam deeper into trouble at every turn. The film also features Saeed Al-Owairan in his acting debut as Abo Ateq, the relentless loan shark whose presence looms over every choice Sattam makes.
With its authentic Saudi humor, grounded characters, and high-stakes chaos, The Fakenapping is both wildly entertaining and relatable - a story about people pushed to their limits, the fragile façades they build, and the price they pay when those façades finally crack.

Produced by Telfaz11, The Fakenapping is a sharp, self-aware comedy brought to life by a diverse cast including: Mohamad Aldokhei (Sattam), Yazid Almajyul (Yaqoub), Abdulaziz Al Sokayreen (Suleiman) guest star and first time actor Saeed Al-Owairan (Abo Ateq), Abdallah Aldrees (Hamdan), Khaled Hweijan (Abadi), Abrar Faisal (Hiyam) and Ali Mofrah.
