Mandates Of Significant Part Of Supervisory Boards Of Main State Energy Companies To Be Terminated Zelensky

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, Zelensky announced this on Telegram.

"Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko and I have discussed the personnel overhaul in the energy sector. The pace of transformation is satisfactory and must ensure full transparency in management. In particular, today the mandates of a significant part of the supervisory boards of the main state energy companies will be terminated – Centrenergo, the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine, the Market Operator, Ukrainian Distribution Grids, and the Energy Company of Ukraine," Zelensky said.

He noted that new members of the supervisory boards should be appointed in December "in accordance with a clear and fair procedure."

Zelensky also instructed Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal to carry out an urgent reset of supervisory boards in the defense sector as well.

"It is through supervisory boards that management and oversight of internal processes in companies are carried out, and this must be ensured one hundred percent," he emphasized.

Separately, he instructed the Prime Minister to inform Ukraine's key partners about the measures the government is taking to strengthen trust in Ukraine and its institutions.

As Ukrinform reported, the Cabinet of Ministers previously approved an action plan to renew the supervisory boards and executive bodies of state-owned companies in the fuel and energy sector.
