Paritee Strengthens Nordics And Public Affairs With Kruse Larsen Acquisition

(MENAFN- PRovoke) OSLO–Paritee, the European communications group that owns Nordic firm Geelmuydsn Kiese and the UK's Brands2Life, is acquiring Kruse Larsen, a Norwegian advisory firm specialised in strategic communication, public and governmental affairs, and crisis management.

Founded in 2015 and led by chief executive Jan-Erik Larsen, Kruse Larsen has around 40 employees-supplementing about 35 people at Geelmuydsn Kiese's Norwegian operations-and revenues of €7.5 million. It also operates subsidiaries including Pressure, a highly specialised digital public affairs firm, strategy and analysis firm Kime, and design and creative agency Eggedosis.

The firm has particular expertise within energy and sustainability, real estate and urban development, finance, transport, health, seafood, international relations and defence/security.

The deal follows last month's acquisition of Brussels-based public affairs firm RPP Group and strengthens Paritee's existing capabilities in the Nordics and in public affairs.

The company also made its first move in the Middle East last month, backing new agency North Seventy Five, co-founded by former Burson/H&K group MD Iman Issa and regional COO Lisa Welch in Dubai.

According to Larsen,“We are living through a period of extraordinary volatility marked by faster shifts, more complexity and higher stakes. It is no longer enough to simply keep pace; we must stay ahead. Joining forces allows us to do exactly that and to build something genuinely new and distinctive.”

Adds Jonas Palmqvist, CEO of Paritee,“The more we have spoken, the more we have realised how much we share in terms of culture and values.”

Kruse Larsen and Pressure will continue to operate as independent agencies under their own brands, and will report to Karne Lykkebo, CEO of Geelmuyden Kiese Group. Partners in Kruse Larsen and Pressure become shareholders in Paritee: Tim Peters remains COO and operational lead; Celine Gran continues as managing director of Pressure; and Line Skjolde continues as managing director of Eggedosis. Rolf Ellingsen Aaneland, CEO of Kime, part of Kruse Larsen, steps in as new MD of Geelmuyden Kiese in Norway.

The Paritee Group now has total net sales exceeding €75 million across its international operations with 17 offices in 12 countries.

According to Norwegian competition law, the transaction must be notified to and assessed by the Norwegian Competition Authority. The parties consider this to be a formality.
