Türkiye’s Intelligence Chief Engages with Qatari, Egyptian Officials
(MENAFN) On Tuesday, security sources reported that Türkiye’s intelligence chief, İbrahim Kalin, visited Cairo to meet with senior officials from Qatar and Egypt to address the ongoing situation in Gaza.
The meetings were focused on discussing the latest developments in the region amidst escalating tensions.
Kalin engaged in talks with Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, as well as Egypt's General Intelligence Service head, Hassan Rashad.
These discussions aimed to push forward the next phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, particularly as Israel’s violations of the ceasefire in the conflict-ridden Palestinian territory have intensified.
The officials also explored strategies to enhance collaborative efforts with the United States in managing the situation.
Additionally, the parties agreed to bolster coordination through the Civil Military Coordination Center (CMCC), aiming to eliminate barriers to the ongoing ceasefire and prevent further violations from taking place.
Kalin reaffirmed Türkiye's unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian people in every possible way.
