KP Completes Appointment Of 16,000 Teachers As CM Afridi Hails Merit-Based Recruitment
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department has completed the recruitment process for 16,000 new teachers and formally issued their appointment orders.
At a ceremony held to mark the occasion, Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi attended as the chief guest and congratulated the newly appointed teachers.
In his address, the Chief Minister said all teachers were selected purely on merit and competence, adding that the presence of candidates from diverse political backgrounds proved that the culture of recommendations had been eliminated from the province.

Calling teachers“spiritual parents,” the Chief Minister said the future of children depended on their guidance and that these young educators would eventually shape the leadership of the province and the country. He expressed hope that the new recruitments would significantly improve the quality of education.
During the ceremony, CM Afridi personally handed over appointment orders to position-holding teachers from districts Khyber and Peshawar. Of the newly appointed teachers, 10,417 are men and 5,753 are women.
