Egyptians Cast Ballot In 2Nd Phase Of Parliament Elections

CAIRO, Nov 24 (KUNA) -- Millions of Egyptians are expected to flow to polls on Monday and Tuesday for the second phase of the House of Representatives elections amid the monitoring and coverage of civil society organizations and local and international mass media.
The second phase covers 13 governorates: Cairo, Qalyubia, Dakahlia, Menoufia, Gharbia, Kafr El-Sheikh, Sharqia, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, North Sinai, and South Sinai.
Over 34 million eligible voters are set to cast their ballots in 37 constituencies covering 5,287 polling stations, with 1,316 candidates vying for 141 parliamentary seats.
Overseas voting for Egyptians living abroad took place over the past two days at 139 polling centers in 117 countries.
The first phase of Egyptian parliamentary elections took place on November 10-11, covering 70 constituencies including 5,606 polling stations. (end)
