Omani Embassy Celebrates National Day

Amman, Nov. 24 (Petra) -- The Omani Embassy in Amman hosted a reception on Sunday evening marking Oman's National Day, attended by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Nancy Namrouqa, along with a wide gathering of officials, diplomats, and media figures.
Omani Ambassador Fahd bin Abdulrahman Alojaili highlighted in his speech the steady progress Oman has achieved across various sectors, noting that the Sultanate is moving forward with confidence as it strengthens its regional and international presence.
He described Jordan–Oman relations as a standout example of solid, long-standing Arab partnerships, praising the shared will of both leaderships to broaden cooperation in economic, educational, and military fields, reflecting the ambitions of both peoples for deeper integration.
Alojaili pointed to the increasingly strong coordination between the two countries in recent years, stressing that joint efforts will continue in ways that serve mutual interests and open new pathways for collaboration.
He also reaffirmed the alignment of Jordanian and Omani positions on the Palestinian issue, emphasizing their shared support for the Palestinian people's right to an independent state.
Additionally, he underscored Oman's steadfast support for the Hashemite custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, citing its historical legitimacy and central role in safeguarding the city.
The celebration featured a video presentation tracing the evolution of Jordanian–Omani relations over the decades, spotlighting key milestones such as leadership visits and the agreements that strengthened economic, cultural, and educational ties, deepening the partnership between the two nations.
