Phiwe Nota is a Research Fellow at the Children's Institute, University of Cape Town. She is a social scientist with a background in psychology and holds a PhD in Media and Cultural Studies (Health Communication). Her research focuses on children's and adolescents' health, with previous work centred on sexual and reproductive health, including HIV prevention, treatment, and care. Her current work examines the prevention of violence against children and women, and how interventions can be effectively integrated into health systems.
