Azerbaijan Set To Launch New Media Excellence Center To Counter Disinformation - Official
Speaking to reporters during the D-8 Media Forum in Baku, Ismayilov pointed out that the center will be a jack-of-all-trades in the media sector, lending a helping hand for professional development, supporting talent training, and implementing specialized projects in this field.
He emphasized that the forum aims to strengthen international and regional cooperation among media entities of D-8 member states, enhance collaboration against disinformation in the digital environment, and create a lasting platform for mutual partnership.
“The forum discussed a strategic plan for establishing the D-8 Media Excellence Center. The plan has already been presented to forum participants, and by the end of the day, recommendations from our media experts and government officials from D-8 countries will be incorporated into the center's future strategy,” he added.
The D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation has inaugurated a media forum titled "Fostering Dialogue, Collaboration, and Regional Cohesion" in Baku. Approximately 150 visitors are participating in the forum, including 71 representatives from the eight member nations and the D-8 Secretariat.
