Sohail Afridi Writes To Punjab CM Over 'Mistreatment' Of Imran Khan's Family At Adiala Jail
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi has written a formal letter to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, expressing serious concern over the alleged restrictions and mistreatment faced by former prime minister Imran Khan's family during their visits to Adiala Jail.
In his letter, CM Afridi strongly condemned what he described as the limiting of family meetings despite court orders, as well as the alleged rude behaviour towards Khan's relatives, particularly his sisters.
He stated that forcing elderly women to sit on the roadside and subjecting the family to discourteous treatment was“unacceptable” and called for transparent investigations into the matter. He termed the incidents a grave violation of human and constitutional rights.

CM Afridi wrote that Imran Khan is a former prime minister and leader of the PTI,“and it is on his mandate that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government stands,” adding that the treatment meted out to him is a matter of deep concern for the people of the province.
He urged the Punjab government to take notice of the situation and initiate immediate action.
