Seven Killed As Gunmen Attack Peace Committee's Office In Bannu
Seven people were killed and one injured after armed militants launched a coordinated attack on the office of local peace committee commander Abdul Jalil in Darye Dariz, within the jurisdiction of Hovid Police Station on Tuesday.
According to police and hospital officials, the assailants opened fire with both light and heavy weapons, leaving seven people dead on the spot. The bodies and the injured man were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, where a tense atmosphere prevailed as families and community members gathered.

Those killed were identified as Osama, Kamran, Muhammad Niaz, Waliullah, Sufyan, Nauman and Safyan. The injured was identified as a man named Muhammad.
Police say an investigation is under way, while security has been tightened in the area following the deadly assault.
