Jordan Strongly Condemns Israeli Prime Minister's Entry Into Syrian Territory As A Dangerous Violation Of Sovereignty

(MENAFN- Amman Net) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the Israeli Prime Minister's entry, along with several ministers and officials from the extremist Israeli government, into the territory of the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic. The Ministry described the move as a blatant violation of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, a clear breach of international law, and a dangerous escalation that will only fuel further conflict and tension in the region.

The Ministry's spokesperson, Fouad Al-Majali, affirmed Jordan's absolute rejection and strong condemnation of this serious violation, which represents an infringement on the sovereignty of an Arab state and an unacceptable provocative escalation. He stressed the need to halt all Israeli measures targeting Syria's security and stability, which constitute violations of the UN Charter and Israel's commitments under the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.

Al-Majali reiterated Jordan's unwavering support and full solidarity with Syria, its security, stability, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and its people. He called on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities by compelling Israel to stop its illegal and provocative attacks on Syria, end its occupation of part of Syrian territory, and respect international law and relevant UN resolutions.
