Trump Urges House Republicans to Release Epstein Files

(MENAFN) US President Donald Trump has urged Republicans in the House of Representatives to support the release of all remaining unredacted documents connected to the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

He accused Democrats of exploiting select materials as a political weapon against him.

Epstein died in a Manhattan jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges and operating an underage sex ring.

His extensive connections with affluent and influential figures in the United States and internationally continue to echo in Washington, where members of both parties have accused one another of leveraging the case for political advantage.

Last week, a congressional committee disclosed 20,000 documents pertaining to the Epstein investigation.

Some Democrats seized on this to underscore Trump’s former friendship with the convicted sex offender, referencing an email in which Epstein claimed that Trump “knew about the girls.”

In retaliation, Trump initiated an investigation into Epstein’s relationships with high-profile Democrats, including Bill Clinton, and criticized his adversaries for using what he termed the “Epstein Hoax” for political purposes.

“House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide,” Trump declared in a post on Truth Social on Monday.

He further accused Democrats of sensationalizing the case to divert public attention from the nation’s pressing issues and the achievements of his administration.

“The House Oversight Committee can have whatever they are legally entitled to, I DON’T CARE!” the president added.
