Government Launches Full-Scale Audit Of Energoatom
“We discussed the implementation of state financial oversight of energy-sector state enterprises with the head of the State Audit Service, Alla Basalaieva. The audit of Energoatom has already begun - this is the top priority. The State Audit Service will review the activities of the company's central management office and 10 of its branches, including three nuclear power plants, covering the period 2023–2025,” Svyrydenko said.
The parties agreed that the interim audit results must be ready in December. The audit materials will be forwarded to law enforcement and anti-corruption bodies for appropriate action.
In parallel, preparations have started for audits at other enterprises: Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine LLC, Centrenergo PJSC, and Ukrgasvydobuvannya JSC.
“The government expects regular reports on the progress of all audits every month throughout the entire period. We will act swiftly if any violations are uncovered. We must ensure full transparency at state-owned enterprises,” Svyrydenko stressed.
