Bomb Alert Forces French Broadcaster Evacuation

(MENAFN) BFMTV, a major French broadcaster, abruptly halted its live transmission and cleared its Paris headquarters Saturday afternoon following a bomb threat, media reported.

Law enforcement personnel deployed to the scene alongside bomb disposal specialists and detection canines after an online threat allegedly warned the building would detonate.

"Our premises were evacuated following a security alert. Law enforcement is on site to carry out checks. Our programming is temporarily disrupted across all RMC BFM channels," BFMTV confirmed on the US social media platform X.

According to witness accounts cited by media, staff members sheltered in an underground parking facility as authorities investigated reports of a suspicious package located within the building.

Police operations remained ongoing as security teams conducted systematic sweeps of the media complex in the French capital.
