Number Of Non-Bank Financial Institutions In Ukraine Decreases In October


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) This was reported by the National Bank of Ukraine, according to Ukrinform.

“In October, six non-bank financial institutions were removed from the registers. In particular, one risk insurer was removed at the initiative of the applicant. Five institutions were forcibly removed from the registers: two pawnshops and three financial companies. Two financial companies were also added to the registers,” the report said.



According to the NBU, as of November 1, 2025, there were 417 financial companies (previously 418), 49 non-life insurers (previously 50), 10 life insurers, one insurer with special status, 102 pawnshops (previously 104), 88 credit unions, one lessor, 45 insurance brokers, and 74 collection agencies.

The number of banking groups remained unchanged (16), while the number of non-banking financial groups increased by one in October to 42.

There are 15 resident and 10 international payment systems operating in the payment market. Among the providers of financial payment services, there are 16 payment institutions (previously 17), 12 financial institutions with the right to provide payment services, one bank issuing electronic money, and one postal operator. Other participants in the payment market include 49 commercial agents and 32 technology operators of payment services.

As reported by Ukrinform, in September, the number of participants in the non-bank financial market in Ukraine remained unchanged at 791 institutions.
