Srinagar- At least four people lost their lives while severalothers were injured after a collision between two vehicles in Central Kashmir's Budgam district on Saturday evening, officials said.

According to reports, a dumper truck collided with a Tata Sumo passenger vehicle at Waterwani along the Budgam Ring Road around 10:30 pm.

The impact of the crash was severe, leaving four passengers dead on the spot and several others critically wounded.
Local residents, passersby, and police personnel rushed to the scene and helped shift the injured to a nearby hospital.

Rescue operations continued late into the night as authorities worked to clear the mangled vehicles
from the road.

“Four persons were declared brought dead at the hospital, while five others are undergoing treatment,” officials said, adding that efforts are underway to ascertain the identity of the deceased.
