Fiercest Battles In Pokrovsk Rage Inside Industrial Zone - AAF

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The press service of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of Ukraine's Air Assault Forces (AАF) reported this on Telegram, providing an update on the situation in Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad as of 13:00 on Monday, November 10.

“The 7th Rapid Response Corps of the AAF is holding its defensive line. Over the past week, Ukrainian troops eliminated 236 Russian soldiers and wounded 136 others. The defenders also destroyed one tank, three armored combat vehicles, and 23 units of auto and motor equipment,” the statement said.

According to the AAF, Russian forces continue to intensify assaults on Ukrainian positions within the Pokrovsk agglomeration.

Last week, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian units 132 times - nearly 20% more than the previous week.

Ukrainian forces are preventing Russian troops from gaining a foothold in the multi-storey buildings of Pokrovsk, which the enemy seeks to use as dominant heights. This resistance enables other Defense Forces units to carry out clearing operations in the city.

“Russian troops are being eliminated in the northern part of Pokrovsk. The fiercest battles are taking place in the industrial zone. Routes the enemy uses to infiltrate this area are under the control of Ukrainian forces, leaving the Russians with limited ability to replenish their losses,” the AAF reported.

Meanwhile, Russian troops are attempting to regroup and concentrate their efforts in other districts of the city and on the western outskirts, aiming to advance toward Hryshyne, located northwest of Pokrovsk.

Ukrainian forces are holding the line, supported by a multi-layered defense system. Logistics in Hryshyne enable the execution of assigned missions.

The defensive operation also continues in Myrnohrad. Logistics remain intact, and supplies of food and ammunition are being replenished on schedule.

Russian forces are attempting to attack Myrnohrad from the southeast. Ukrainian Defense Forces are successfully eliminating enemy troops on the approaches to the city, preventing them from infiltrating Myrnohrad.

As reported earlier by Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has denied claims that Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad are encircled or that Russian forces have full fire control over local logistics routes.
