Türkiye Expresses Condolences for Bosnia After Tragic Fire


(MENAFN) Türkiye on Wednesday expressed its sympathy to Bosnia and Herzegovina following a tragic fire at a nursing home that resulted in the deaths of nearly a dozen individuals.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of lives caused by the fire that broke out yesterday (4 November) at a nursing home in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina,” stated a communiqué from the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

The statement further conveyed, “We wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives and extend our condolences to the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

The blaze erupted on the seventh floor of a retirement home in Tuzla city, claiming 11 residents and causing injuries to multiple people, including police officers, firefighters, and healthcare personnel, according to a public broadcaster.

Fire crews were able to bring the fire under control after several hours of effort, while authorities continue to probe the origins and circumstances surrounding the incident.
