US, Saudi Arabia launch joint army drill in California
(MENAFN) The United States and Saudi Arabia have initiated a joint military exercise at Fort Irwin in California, according to reports.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement late Wednesday that the Quincy-1 exercises are designed to “enhance operational readiness, exchange expertise, and strengthen integration in conducting joint operations across various combat environments.”
Details regarding the duration of the drill or the number of troops involved were not disclosed.
Fort Irwin National Training Center, located in California’s Mojave Desert, serves as a key training area for the US military and spans approximately 3,108 square kilometers (1,200 square miles).
