Istanbul Hosts Arab, Muslim Meeting On Gaza

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, Nov 3 (KUNA) -- Seven Arab and Muslim countries met in the Turkish city of Istanbul on Monday to discuss Gaza ceasefire and humanitarian aid delivery.
Addressing the just-concluded "Gaza Meeting", Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that the gathering brought together the foreign ministers or representatives of Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Jordan, Pakistan and Indonesia to tackle regional security, stability and peace.
He underlined that the conferees had vowed to do their utmost to prevent the recurrence of genocide in Gaza.
However, he lashed out at the Israeli occupation's continued violations of the Gaza ceasefire and failure to commit itself to allowing humanitarian aid into the enclave, noting that more than 200 Palestinian have been killed since the Gaza ceasefire agreement was announced.
He also stressed the significance of international cooperation in Gaza reconstruction efforts, emphasizing that Gaza should recover in order to ensure the security of Palestinians there. (end)
