Xi, Russian PM hold talks on trade, economy


(MENAFN) Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on Tuesday in Beijing, according to reports.

The discussion, held at the Great Hall of the People, focused on a range of bilateral matters, including trade and economic cooperation. Mishustin arrived in China on Monday ahead of the talks.

A day earlier, Mishustin met with China’s Premier Li Qiang during the 30th regular meeting of the China-Russia heads of government in Hangzhou.

During that meeting, Mishustin emphasized that ties between Moscow and Beijing are strengthening despite challenges in global politics and the economy. Li highlighted that China is ready to work with Russia to improve strategic communication, expand cooperation across multiple sectors, and safeguard shared development and security interests.
