Honda has showcased its new ProZision series battery-powered riding mowers at the recent Equip Exposition 2025 in Louisville, Kentucky.

The launch included two models – the ProZision Autonomous and the manually operated ProZision – marking Honda's first battery-powered riding mower series developed for the US market. Both models are scheduled to go on sale in the US before the end of 2026.

The company introduced the ProZision lineup as part of its strategy to apply autonomous and intelligent technologies across its power equipment range.

Honda has been expanding automation capabilities since its Miimo HRM500 robotic mower debuted in Europe in 2012, and it positioned the ProZision series as a solution for labor-challenged landscaping and grounds-management sectors in advanced markets.

Honda said the ProZision Autonomous memorizes mowing routes and patterns using GNSS and on-board sensors, enabling it to operate without a human driver.

Radar and LiDAR provide 360-degree sensing to help detect terrain changes and obstacles. The system automatically determines mowing paths, enabling high-quality finishes and safe operation on varied terrain.

The company said the autonomous model is designed to address labor shortages, operator fatigue, and harsh working environments such as dusty or uneven terrain, while improving efficiency and lowering operating costs.

In addition to autonomy, the mowers feature three MicroCut Twin Blade units for fine mulching and a selectable cutting mode system – Rapid, Normal and Precise – to match operator skill and turf conditions.

Honda also highlighted comfort features such as ergonomic seating, integrated display, and full-suspension design.

Speaking at the launch, Minoru Kato, general manager of motorcycle and power products operations, Honda Motor, said:“Based on our desire to use our technologies to help people, Honda Power Products business has been offering products that help people in their daily lives and work for over 70 years.

“Equipped with autonomous and intelligent technologies, the ProZision Autonomous was developed to help reduce various burdens on landscaping businesses facing challenges such as an aging and workforce shortages.

“Moving forward, Honda will continue to contribute to improving the quality of people's work and daily lives through technological innovation that enables Honda to meet ever-changing market needs, while also enhancing its lineup of electrified products toward the realization of carbon neutrality by 2050.”

Honda continues to expand its electrified and automated product lineup as part of its long-term roadmap toward carbon neutrality by 2050.
