China: Spain's King To Visit Beijing On Nov. 10

BEIJING, Nov 3 (KUNA) -- Spain's King Felipe VI will embark on an official state visit to China from November 10-13, the first visit by a Spanish monarch to Beijing in 18 years, China confirmed on Monday.
The Spanish king is due to hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping and other top state officials over bilateral relations and current developments around the world, Xinhua News Agency cited foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning as saying in a statement.
Some 20 years after a Sino-Spanish "strategic partnership," was launched, bilateral ties have remained on an upward trajectory over the years, while Beijing and Madrid aim to propel these relations to greater levels, it added. (end)
