Doha, Qatar: Minister of Social Development and Family HE Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, inaugurated on Monday the Doha Solutions Forum for Social Development.

The event was organized by the State of Qatar in collaboration with the French Republic and with the support of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA).

The convening of the forum is part of WSSD Doha 2025, hosted by the State of Qatar from Nov. 4 to 6.

The forum was intended to explore innovative solutions and effective policies in the areas of social development, in addition to enhancing international dialogue on avenues for building more comprehensive, just, and enduring communities.

In her opening remarks, Al Nuaimi affirmed that the forum epitomizes the State of Qatar's commitment to continuing its leading role in supporting social development both on the national and global stages, reflecting its vision of making humans the lynchpin of development objectives.

The ministry's Strategy 2025‐2030, under the theme "From Care to Empowerment", provides a practical framework translating Qatar National Vision 2030, through strengthening tight-knit families, empowering women, supporting individuals with disabilities and the elderly, expanding the scope of voluntary work and societal engagement, and advancing social protection systems to foster self-reliance and equality of opportunities, Her Excellency underlined.

She underscored that digital transformation is a core pillar of the social development system Qatar has adopted, emphasizing that investment in innovation and the building of human capacities is the pathway toward achieving more sustainable and just development.

The forum concluded by underlining the importance of unifying regional and global efforts to accelerate the pace of social progress and deepen collaboration to build a more comprehensive and equitable future that bolsters human welfare and achieves comprehensive development.
