Road Crash Claims Ten Lives in India
(MENAFN) At least 10 people lost their lives and several others sustained injuries when a speeding truck collided with multiple vehicles in Rajasthan’s capital, Jaipur, local police confirmed on Monday.
Some of the injured are reportedly in critical condition and are receiving care at a government-run hospital.
The crash took place on Lohamandi Road, where the truck, allegedly driven by an intoxicated individual, struck vehicles over several kilometers before overturning. Authorities arrested the driver, according to an online media report.
Jaipur Commissioner of Police Sachin Mittal stated, "We are currently collecting details of the injured." He also confirmed that "10 human deaths had been reported."
