Türkiye's Stock Exchange Opens Tuesday with Modest Gains
(MENAFN) Türkiye's main stock index opened Tuesday at 10,858.67 points, marking a slight gain of 0.05%, or 5.23 points.
On Monday, the BIST 100 fell 0.81% to 10,853.43 points, with total trading volume reaching 124 billion Turkish liras ($2.95 billion).
Borsa Istanbul announced that the BIST 100 will close early on Tuesday ahead of the Republic Day holiday on Oct. 29 and will remain closed on Wednesday.
As of 09:50 a.m. local time (0650GMT), the exchange rates were recorded at 41.9495 Turkish liras per US dollar, 48.9095 per euro, and 56.0135 per British pound.
Gold was priced at $3,943.55 per ounce, while Brent crude oil traded at $64.75 per barrel.
