KABUL (Pajhwok): Da Afghanistan Breshna Shirkat (DABS) says the reconnection of the imported electricity line from Uzbekistan is nearing completion, and the imported power is expected to return to normal by noon today (Monday).
On its X platform, the power utility wrote the restoration of the Uzbekistan electricity line is almost finished.
It said:“After three days of continuous efforts, operational teams of DABS are completing the reconstruction of the electricity transmission line from Uzbekistan, which had caused power outages in eleven provinces, including Kabul, due to the disconnection of one of the towers along the Amu River route”.
According to DABS, the technical work was challenging because the line crosses the Amu River, and it is expected that imported electricity will return to normal by noon today (Monday).
