(MENAFN) Türkiye has sent a new convoy of humanitarian assistance to Gaza, with 25 trucks carrying essential supplies heading toward the Rafah border crossing on Saturday as part of the country’s ongoing relief initiative.

According to reports, the shipment is part of Türkiye’s 17th “Ship of Kindness,” organized in coordination with the national disaster management agency and supported by multiple charitable organizations. The vessel had departed from the southern port of Mersin on October 14, carrying approximately 900 tons of humanitarian goods.

Unloading operations are taking place at Egypt’s al-Arish Port, where over half of the supplies—including baby formula, canned food, and ready-to-eat meals—have already been transferred to land transport.

Officials from the coordinating agency supervised the departure of the aid convoy, which is expected to reach the Rafah crossing within about 45 minutes. Efforts remain ongoing to ensure the rest of the cargo reaches Gaza as quickly as possible, according to the agency.
