KUNA Media Development Center Launches Combating Misinformation Program

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Oct 19 (KUNA) -- The KUNA Center for Development of Media launched its training program, "Combating Misinformation," on Sunday with the participation of several KUNA staff members. The program will run until October 23.
The program is presented by Dr. Husain Murad, Associate Professor at the Department of Mass Communication at Kuwait University. It includes an introduction to the modern information crisis, the nature of the information revolution and its challenges, as well as the psychology of the spread of misinformation.
It also adopts both theoretical and practical approaches, covers the misinformation ecosystem, methods for detecting fake news, deconstruction methodologies, and a strategic workshop on "Building a Verification Protocol at KUNA."
Established in December 1995, the KUNA Center for Development of Media is considered one of the most important media training centers and has offered hundreds of training programs in various media fields. It aims to develop personal media capabilities and advance professional media work. (end)
