Ukraine Urges World To Demand Release Of Crimean Tatar Women Detained By Occupiers

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the MFA posted a statement regarding the detained Crimean Tatar women.

Among those detained during the October 15 morning raids are Esma Nimetulaieva, the wife of political prisoner Remzi Nimetulaiev and mother of five; Nasiba Saidova, a pedagogical college student and kindergarten educator; as well as Elvira Aliieva, Elianora Osmanova, and Fevziye Osmanova.

Russian propaganda media are spreading fabricated accusations of a“women's cell promoting world caliphate ideology” in an attempt to justify the repression and depict these peaceful women, mothers, educators, and students as“terrorists”.

“Such actions are part of Moscow's systemic assault on the Crimean Tatar people, aimed at erasing their national identity, spirituality, and rights to their land,” the MFA emphasizes.

The persecution constitutes gross violations of international humanitarian norms-particularly the IV Geneva Convention-and fundamental human rights, the ministry states, adding that these events once again expose the criminal character of the Russian occupation regime, which resorts to torture, fabricated charges, and terror against civilians.

The ministry calls on the international community, human rights organizations, and the media to pay special attention to these events and demand the immediate release of Esma Nimetulaieva, Nasiba Saidova, Elvira Aliieva, Elianora Osmanova, and Fevziie Osmanova, as well as all unlawfully detained citizens of Ukraine.

Kyiv warns that no crime by the occupiers will go unpunished; Crimea has been and remains part of Ukraine, and those persecuting Crimean Tatars today will inevitably be held accountable under international law.

As reported by Ukrinform, Russian occupiers conducted dawn raids on Crimean Tatars on October 15, detaining four women and taking them to the FSB office in Simfero pol.
