Dhaka Regency Celebrates Bangladesh's Rich Culinary Heritage With 10-Day Food Festival

Dhaka: Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort has launched a special culinary festival titled“The Local Culinary Heritage of Bangladesh”, celebrating the country's rich and diverse food traditions. The 10-day event runs from October 15 to October 25, 2025, every evening from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm at the hotel's signature Grandiose Restaurant.

The festival was inaugurated with a ceremonial cake-cutting by Justice Moyeenul Islam Chowdhury, Chairman of Dhaka Regency Hotel and Resort, in the presence of Shahid Hamid, Executive Director and Managing Director (Current Charge) of the hotel, along with guests from various embassies and airlines.



Designed to showcase traditional dishes from across Bangladesh, the event offers a gastronomic journey through the nation's regional flavors. Guests can enjoy rare and authentic items such as biriyani cooked in bamboo stalks, choijhal gosht, shatkora chicken, koi paturi, and a range of vegetarian options like dal with drumstick shoots, bamboo shoot curry, laukhatta, and shabji labra.

The dessert section features unique and lesser-known traditional cakes alongside beloved classics like Hilsa Paturi, Bhuna Khichuri, and Panta Ilish. Each dish is prepared by expert local chefs who blend authenticity with contemporary presentation.

Adding to the ambiance, each evening features live instrumental performances, highlighting the nation's vibrant cultural heritage. The buffet dinner is priced at BDT 5,555 net per person, with a Buy One Get One Free offer for Selective Card holders, Fans of Dhaka Regency, and Dhaka Regency Premier Club members.
