GITEX Global 2025 Tech Exhibition Draws Over 6,800 Firms
(MENAFN) The 45th edition of GITEX Global, a premier international exhibition spotlighting artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and deep-tech innovation, launched Monday at the Dubai World Trade Centre with participation from over 6,800 companies across 180 countries.
This year’s event features a major presence from global tech leaders including Google, Huawei, IBM, and Microsoft, alongside more than 40 unicorn startups—firms each valued at over $1 billion. In total, around 2,000 startups are set to exhibit at the five-day event, which wraps up Friday, Oct. 17.
A strong international presence is on display, with approximately 80% of participants hailing from outside the United Arab Emirates. Country-specific pavilions, including one from Türkiye, reflect the event's growing emphasis on global collaboration and innovation.
Marking its debut at GITEX, the Turkish Industry and Technology Ministry, in partnership with the Investment Office, is unveiling a joint pavilion under the banner “Turcorn-Invest in Türkiye.” The initiative aims to boost the nation’s high-tech reputation and attract strategic alliances and investment opportunities for domestic startups.
More than 50 Turkish companies, representing sectors such as AI, cybersecurity, fintech, and robotics, will take part in the exhibition.
High-profile speakers are also expected throughout the week, including OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, who will be joined by other leading experts to address future-defining technologies and global innovation trends.
