Türkiye’s Stock Market Opens Higher
(MENAFN) Türkiye’s main stock index started Wednesday on a positive note, opening at 10,357.17 points.
This represents an increase of 0.4%, or 40.78 points, compared to the previous day’s closing figure.
The previous session on Tuesday saw the BIST 100 index decline by 2.27%, ending the day at 10,316.40 points.
The trading volume during that session reached 117.2 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to approximately $2.8 billion.
By 10:05 am local time (0705 GMT), currency exchange rates were recorded at 41.8320 Turkish liras per US dollar, 48.6975 per euro, and 55.5785 against the British pound.
In the commodities market, gold was priced at $4,199.55 per ounce, while Brent crude oil was exchanging hands at $62 per barrel.
