Arab, Islamic Foreign Ministers Welcome Hamas' Steps Regarding Trump's Gaza Proposal

KUWAIT, Oct 5 (KUNA) -- The Foreign Ministers of Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt on Sunday welcomed the steps taken by the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas regarding US President Donald Trump's proposal to end the war on Gaza, release all hostages, alive or deceased, and immediately begin negotiations on implementation mechanisms.
In a joint statement, the Foreign Ministers praised Trump's call for the Israeli occupation to immediately cease bombing and begin implementing the exchange agreement. They also expressed their appreciation for his commitment to establishing peace in the region
They stressed that these developments represent a real opportunity for a comprehensive and sustainable ceasefire and to address the critical humanitarian conditions facing people in the Gaza Strip.
The ministers welcomed Hamas's announcement of its readiness to hand over the administration of Gaza to a transitional Palestinian administrative committee of independent technocrats, and stressed the need to immediately begin negotiations to agree on mechanisms to implement the proposal and address all its aspects.
The ministers reaffirmed their joint commitment to supporting efforts aimed at implementing the proposal, working to end the war on Gaza immediately, and reaching a comprehensive agreement that ensures the unrestricted delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, prevents of the displacment of Palestinian people, safeguard the security and safety of civilians, and leads release of hostages.
They also called for the return of the Palestinian Authority to Gaza, the unification of the West Bank and Gaza, and the establishment of a security mechanism that guarantees the security of all parties, leading to the full withdrawal of the Israeli occupation and the reconstruction of Gaza, paving the way for achieving a just peace based on the two-state solution.
