Profile Articles Activity

I graduated from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow with a 1st class BSc Honours in Computer Science & Software Engineering. After a few years in industry both in Glasgow and in Brussels, I returned to university (this time in Sheffield) to complete a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience (Title: The neural substrates of mathematical calculations in healthy adults and patients with severe aphasia)
Since then, my research has incorporated both aspects of my training, and includes two main areas of investigations. One, focuses on the behavioural and neural substrates of language and high order cognition- in particular numerical cognition and acalculia. The other investigates patterns of information processing (including numerical information) in health (e.g., why people avoid information about their weight).
