Uphold Gandhian Principles, Promote Swadeshi: LG Sinha To Youth

Srinagar- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday said that Mahatma Gandhi's vision of peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir should serve as a guiding light for the youth and the people of the Union Territory.

Addressing Gandhi Jayanti celebrations at SKICC here, the Lieutenant Governor said,“Gandhiji wanted to see peace and prosperity in J&K.”

“He (Gandhiji) had said that he sees a ray of hope in this land. I pray that J&K emerges as a shining star to show the light to the entire country in these difficult times (1947 partition era).”

He urged the youth of J&K to make Gandhian ideals the basis of their lives and contribute actively to the welfare of society.“Our young generation must realize that Bapu's J&K is one of peace and prosperity, and they have a responsibility to shape it with their energy and dedication,” he said, as per News agency KNO.
