Ministry Of Information Launches Volunteer Tourist Guide Service On Sahel


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Sept 29 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Information launched Monday, the "Voluntary Tourist Guidance" service through the government app "Sahel," allowing citizens to volunteer as tour guides and support Kuwait's tourism sector.
This initiative, led by Minister Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, seeks to strengthen Kuwait's tourism appeal, engage youth in offering cultural experiences, highlight national identity, and showcase hospitality, while supporting the country's broader strategy to enhance its international image.
In cooperation with Kuwait's Voluntary Work Center, the program will build a national database of volunteer guides, involving them in events, tours, and welcoming visitors in collaboration with relevant authorities, ensuring organized participation in cultural activities.
Applicants can register easily through "Sahel" by submitting resumes, candidates will undergo interviews and skills assessments, then receive training to prepare them effectively. (end)
