Kuwait Army Chief Visits Mohammad Al-Ahmad Naval Base

KUWAIT, Sept 24 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Sharian on Wednesday went on a visit to Mohammad Al-Ahmad naval base.
Receiving him were Commander of Naval Force Rear Admiral Saif Al-Hamlan and other top officials.
A press release issued by the Army Staff mentioned that Lt. Gen. Al-Sharian affirmed intent on enhancing the naval force's combat readiness and reinforce it with state-of-the-art tech.
He commended the pivotal role of the navy in protecting Kuwaiti shores and regional waters, as well as guarding navigation lines.
The Army Chief was briefed on the tasks and duties of the force, and toured the base' facilities.
The force put on a display of its readiness, capabilities and adaptability to various missions, showcasing the exemplary performance of its officers. (end)
