Iraq Launches Vision 2050 For Improvement


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD, Sept 20 (KUNA) -- Iraq's Prime Minister Mohammad Al-Sudani launched on Saturday the country's vision 2050 aiming at drawing up a plan to develop economy and avoid domestic crises, in collaboration with the McKinsey Global Institute (MGI).
Speaking in a ceremony, Al-Sudani said the vision is based on setting up a viable, productive, developmental, sustainable and sovereign society, and a smart government as well as a balanced regional and international position.
Working with the MGI included suggesting programs and solutions to diversity the country's economy and restructing it to reduce oil-dependency and increase the private sector contributions, he noted.
He stated that his government is working on getting free from oil revenue toward a diversified and resilient economy.
The vision aims at covering all sectors, addressing gaps in the state's institutions, avoiding crises and others, he said. (end)
